Control v1.3 replaces the source logos of v1.2 with those from contemporary AI companies. The original branding logos carry decades of conditioning and are engineered to be immediately distinctive, the AI logos are conspicuously generic. Partly this is newness, but the technology they represent is also infinitely general-purpose, the branding reflecting that: hyper-generic and nondescript.
The difference is legible in the drawings. The established brand logos produce a clear contrast with the human-made line, the interruption more obvious and disruptive. The AI logos are harder to distinguish. They blend more easily into the drawing, their presence less certain, their influence harder to locate.
